After painting canvas for a while, I felt the desire to return to metal for my next creation. My seventh painting in 2011 is Beaujolais - also my forth and final metal artwork creation this year. This commissioned original artwork features model Jessie June. Beaujolais is a special addition to my "wine art nude" series of paintings inspired by wine and beautiful ladies (a great combination), created on metal. Previous wine art nude paintings include Syrah and Muah!

Beaujolais was a very special painting and a pleasure to create from beginning to end. My collectors were looking something unique to adorn the wall over the fireplace in their great room. I selected the perfect model and scheduled a photoshoot in the very great room in which the painting was to hang. Turning their living space into a photography studio was a lot of fun for everyone involved. I presented the collectors with a number of options and colors. Over the next two months I created Beaujolais in my studio. Once the painting was complete, the collectors planned a delightful unveiling party for their friends and family. We served Beaujolais wine and enjoyed a lovely spread of hor d'oerves. The video of the creation process played in the background. It was a celebration of art and beauty - a memorable event and a very satisfying project with which I am very pleased to add to my body of work.

My collector/pilot wanted a special creation of his newest airplane for his hanger office. It's a beautiful plane and he is a huge fan of flying. To create this painting, I did a photo shoot just outside his hanger and then painted it on my specially-prepared canvas to appear flying. The clouds were a big part of this artwork and a blast to paint.

Commissioned painting for an engaged couple in Portland, OR. She wanted to present him with a unique, truly one -of-a-kind gift. It was a great idea. So, when he was out of town, I photographed their bikes at a local park and returned his to the garage. Then, it was off to the studio to create special creation for them. Later, she presented him with the painting. The tags on the license plates represent the month and year of their marriage (11/99).

A gentleman came to me to enlist my help in creating a very special surprise engagement gift for his lady. She had always wanted to have a special glamor photo-shoot done, so what we planned was this: We were to schedule a shoot with her and then he was to present this shoot and a nice collection of fine prints to her as a Christmas gift. Behind the scenes however, I was creating an original painting of her on canvas from the photos took. I added the engagement ring to the image for him.

On Valentine's Day in 2008 he proposed at a luxury suite in Las Vegas. When she said Yes! he unveiled the original painting of her wearing the ring. I understand that it was a memorable moment. I very much enjoyed being a part of this joyous occasion for such a beautiful couple.

Solitaire was created as special commissioned original painting for the lady featured in the artwork. Created as a monochromatic artwork in all blacks, she is 100% acrylic on specially-prepared canvas and cleared in a UV satin varnish.
