Inspired by the noted Sigmund Freud who is credited with suggesting that sometimes cigars are just cigars rather than phallic symbols. Some suggest that the quote is more Freudian folklore than a true Freud quote. Either way, I'm a fan of both beauty and cigars - and irony. "Sometimes A Cigar", created in 2006, was he first in a long running and ongoing series of paintings featuring the muse and cigar together.
