Acclaimed Artist, Brand Strategist, and Motorsports Enthusiast Joins TeamWWF Leadership to Drive Sponsor Growth, Donor Retention, and Organizational Scale
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Wings and Wheels Foundation (TeamWWF), the 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping talented, diverse young drivers overcome the financial barriers standing between them and a career in motorsports, today announced the appointment of A.D. Cook as its new Vice President of Strategic Development.
In this new leadership role, Cook will oversee the Foundation’s corporate sponsorship pipeline, individual and recurring donor engagement, institutional grant strategy, and brand storytelling — the core pillars of TeamWWF’s strategic roadmap aimed at closing the well-documented funding gap that keeps promising drivers off the grid at every level of the Road to Indy ladder.
“Resources should never be the limiting factor in a driver’s career — cost shouldn’t be either,” said Cook. “Wings and Wheels already has the programs, the driver relationships, and the mission that sponsors and donors want to be part of. My focus is building the infrastructure — the partnership pipeline, the donor journey, the storytelling — that turns that mission into sustained, growing support for every driver who earns a seat on this team.“
Mark McAlister, Founder of Wings and Wheels Foundation, welcomed the appointment: “A.D. brings a rare combination to this role — decades of building brands that people trust, a genuine passion for motorsports, and the strategic discipline to turn that into real revenue for our drivers. We’re bringing him on at exactly the moment we need to scale our sponsor and donor base, and I couldn’t be more confident in his ability to get us there.“
