I loved carousel horses as a child. In many ways, I still do. I’m a fan of the carved wood and finishes and the beautiful energy that goes into creating them. Before my creative focus turned to figurative art, I had briefly considered making a series of carousel paintings for a while. INTREPID was the first and only one to have been completed. However, I still enjoy the carousel horse’s strength, power, and colors. Perhaps one day, I will return to them as my inspiration.
