As mentioned in my Las Vegas Brewing News December column, HUDL Brewing will be closing its doors later this month. The following is a heartfelt message to me (Bob Barnes) from HUDL Co-Owners Skip Norfolk and Lisa Hamilton about what led to their brewery’s closure, posted with their permission.
By now, we can all see how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming many aspects of our lives, from how we work to how we interact with technology and others in our daily routines. From automating mundane tasks to offering advanced data analysis, AI is enabling individuals and organizations to focus on more strategic and creative endeavors. However, amid these advancements, there are growing concerns that AI may negatively impact human creativity and originality in the future as it increasingly takes over tasks that require innovative thinking and artistic expression.
This month spotlights Nevada Breweries Mission Control, the Brew Festivus Beer Fest, the Crab Corner Boots & Brews Beer & Spirits Festival, BJ’s Brewhouse, Big Dog’s Brewing, North 5th Fourth Anniversary, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas, Neon Desert Brewery, and more.
Today, on this wonderful occasion, we all take a cherished moment to say “Thanks…” to those who are near and dear to our hearts, and to extend our warmest holiday wishes to friends and family alike. In a world that often feels fast-paced and chaotic, these moments of gratitude remind us of what truly matters. It’s truly a special time to spend with those who are most important in our lives, creating memories that we will treasure forever.

It is a way to visualize what’s going on inside us when life presses a button. This metaphor blends psychology, neuroscience, and decades of coaching insight to help you see why you do what you do-and how to change it.
This past weekend, the fourth annual Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, presented by Richard Mille, returned to Wynn Golf Club with its largest showcase to date. Last year’s event attracted thousands of attendees, and this year, expectations were even higher as the Concours continues to grow in popularity. From Thursday, October 30, through Sunday, November 2, the premier automotive event of the year brought together an extraordinary collection of vehicle debuts and curated displays from luxury and performance brands.
The Texas Roadhouse hosted a car show on Saturday from 11 AM to 3 PM at 8510 S. Emerald Dr. in Tempe, AZ. While it was a relatively small show compared to most in the valley, there were some notable cars, including a few AC Cobras, classic Mustang Mach 1s, and late 60s Camaros, as well as a nice blue Corvette C3 Stingray. As always, I enjoy chatting with fellow car enthusiasts and snapping off a few pics to share the experience.
This month spotlights Nevada Breweries win big at Great American Beer Festival, another new brewery in SW Las Vegas, local brewer spotlight on Anthony Gibson, local brewery Champion of the Month Marriott Las Vegas, beer events, and much more.
Yesterday’s Vintage Aircraft & Custom Car Show at the Commemorative Air Force Museum was one of the best car shows I’ve been to in a while. Presented by Southwest Street Rods, the show featured cool custom rods, antique aircraft & WWII war birds, food trucks, and a great crowd. As with many car shows, this one was a benefit for a charity organization, this time for MAM (Military Assistance Mission), which provided financial and morale support to our current Arizona military, their families, and post-9/11 Purple Heart recipients.

Last week was a bust for car shows across the Phoenix/Mesa Valley. We had massive rainstorms and flooding, so needless to say, there were no car shows. So, this week I checked out Lenny’s Burger Car Show on Saturday, October 18, which is typically hosted on the second Saturday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
