National Beer Day is celebrated annually in the United States on April 7 to commemorate the significant 1933 passage of the Cullen-Harrison Act, which legalized the sale of 3.2% beer and wine, ultimately marking the beginning of the end of the long-standing Prohibition era. This day is not only a celebration of the newly legalized beverages but also a tribute to the rich history of brewing in America.
Arizona is Corvette Country. I don’t say that lightly, especially today, following my earlier post about the Highline Autos Cars & Coffee at High Street, which featured countless stunning examples of America’s Sports Car, poised alongside dozens of supercars and exotics. After heading back to the east side of the valley, I made my way to my favorite dining venue in Apache Junction, The Handlbar Pub & Grill, where I heard the evening before that there would be a gathering of local Corvette owners displaying their cars.
It’s been a while since I visited the Highline Autos Cars & Coffee car show at High Street in Phoenix (too long, actually). It was January of 2025 when I first discovered this epic gathering of rolling American and imported exotic supercars, boasting miles of horsepower and torque, their thunderous exhausts screaming to be let loose. Anyone who says this show is amazing is making a colossal understatement. The Highline car show is a remarkable gathering of stunning vehicles, passionate enthusiasts, and an overall atmosphere of camaraderie.
Apple Computer was founded on this day in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in a California garage to sell Apple 1. I first heard chatter about Apple when I was exploring computers at local community meetups and gatherings (which, back then, were rare), mostly consisting of a half-dozen or so nerds, of whom, little did I know at the time, I was destined to become one.

This past Sunday hosted a celebration of fantastic music played to a great crowd of around 600 fans of local talent. The free Party In The Park concert hosted by the Cul-De-Sac Cowboys at Flat Iron Community Park in Apache Junction (AZ) was beyond excellent.

Last weekend, while in Las Vegas, I took a time out to check out the local car scene. In my previous post, I shared my story and miles of pics from the Las Vegas Cars & Coffee. Right after, it was time to stop in on an old favorite, ATOMIC MOTORS, to visit with owner Bill Biler and see his amazing collection of classic cars, street rods, and awesome custom truck collection, along with all the shop upgrades he and his team have done since my last visit in 2024.
It’s been a while since I’ve attended the Las Vegas Cars & Coffee hosted by Celebrity Cars. At one point, I stopped by this show almost weekly, but since moving to the Phoenix/Mesa Valley a couple of years ago, my focus has been on local car shows within Arizona. But this past weekend, I was in Las Vegas to take care of old business and couldn’t resist stopping by my old favorite weekly Cars & Coffee gathering on Eastern in the Twin Peaks parking lot at 9510 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. And I’m so glad I did! The collection of amazing sports cars, racers, classics, street rods, and custom trucks was everything I remembered and more.
