This was one of a very few full-color portraits of the iconic Marilyn Monroe that I had the pleasure of painting during my time as Hollywood Video’s resident mural artist. This particular piece remains high among my all-time favorite works of art, not only for its visual appeal but also for the memories it holds.
This epic original artwork was meticulously painted on high-quality canvas in my Tigard studio, a creative sanctuary where imagination flourished. It was later installed in the vibrant Lynnwood, Washington, Hollywood Video store, where it captured the attention and admiration of countless visitors and customers alike, sparking conversations and evoking a sense of nostalgia about the legendary actress and her timeless appeal. The mural not only became a centerpiece of the store but also a symbol of the creativity that the Hollywood Video brand embraced during its operation.
