Celebrating 29 Years

Pop the champagne and blow out the candles!

I couldn’t be more excited to share my celebration of 29 years online!

My art website, ADCook.com (featuring a collection of my paintings and our design team’s creative work), was initially launched on October 23rd, 1996, mainly as an art portfolio site. Over the past three decades, it has undergone significant growth, now standing at over a thousand pages, encompassing a diverse range of content, including pages and posts on art and the life of an artist.

What started as a simple little website, when websites were rare, has grown to epic proportions. My art site has undergone many design iterations over the years, but its primary focus has always been about art, design, and creative collaboration. Since its launch in ’96, I’ve posted articles, observations, and stories about art, cars and car shows, life, Las Vegas, lifestyle, and creative energy exchanges, along with over two hundred artworks.

Since 1996, this website (ADCook.com) has grown to include over 750 posts and over 200 artworks created since the early eighties. My art portfolio encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including Hollywood Video murals featuring celebrated movie stars, life-size and larger figurative fine art nudes, as well as automotive-inspired art and motorcycle portraits, among other works.

Of the 750+ posts, many include art-related stories and Vegas events, car pics from dozens of shows over the years, several lifestyle posts, dozens of craft-beer posts, and a lot more. In truth, it’s grown way beyond expectations. In the beginning, I never intended to create a Blog post, but I have discovered over the years that it’s the best way to express my place in this time, and connect with my collectors, readers, and kindred art friends.

Blog sites didn’t even exist when we first launched ADCook.com back in ’96, so this project has been a lifelong learning experience, not only in writing, but in design and SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Over the last twenty years or so, I’ve come to love blogging, especially the posts with lots of pics. Beyond the artwork, this site boasts thousands of photographs that I’ve taken over the years, some of which have inspired my art.

You don’t have to dig too deep into this site to know I’m passionate about amazing cars of all varieties and have been a huge enthusiast of American motorcycles since I was a kid, making them a favorite subject for me to photograph, draw, and paint. And I’m honored that they have been featured in a variety of magazines, shows, and museums over the years. As events and publications have a shelf life, this website has archived publications as they occur (click here).

Over the past seven-plus years alone, I’ve created over five dozen posts on the LUSTER: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Paintings exhibit, and its journey spanning from March 2018 through February 2025, which featured a selection of my automotive and motorcycle artworks.

The LUSTER Exhibit prompted the Corvette Art Timeline, with my MOMENTUM paintings, which were created to celebrate the Corvette Museum’s 30th Anniversary and Corvette’s 70th Anniversary as America’s Sports Car, currently on exhibit at the National Corvette Museum through 2025.

Special thanks to guest contributors Bob Barnes for his great Las Vegas Brewing News articles (featuring over four dozen and counting) and Frank Mallinder for his insightful and inspirational words of wisdom.

And mostly, thank you, our regular visitors and readers. Your continued support encourages us to stay in our creative zone in celebrating art, cars, life, and creative energy exchanges.
