It was a perfect day for a car show, and the Gilbert Cars & Coffee 2025-2026 Season Opener hosted at the Cold Beers & Cheesburgers did not disappoint. The last time I visited CBCB was last January, and I remember it as a fantastic show, worthy of a revisit. So, in celebration of car show season, I couldn’t resist a morning of cool cars and chrome.
All in all, I’ve checked out this show a couple of times before, and each time, I’ve discovered a few cars and pickups that stand out as personal favorites. Today was no different.
As always, I especially love seeing the Corvettes, and there were plenty today, ranging from the C2 to the current C8 models.
And if you’re a fan of the classics, there was a great selection of American cars and trucks, most in fantastic condition with miles of chrome. Some of my favorites on the opposite end of the spectrum are the rat rods, which I always enjoy for their unique design, and old cars with a patinaed past.
While I didn’t take count, I did take miles of photos of some of my favorites, including those mentioned above, along with some exotics, street rods, muscle cars, and lowriders. And given that the season kicked off in October, a few skeleton passengers were enjoying the day. Scroll through the pictures below and see how many you can find.
Until next time…
