Yesterday was perfect—the weather was excellent, and the setting was spectacular for a spectacular car show in Gold Canyon. There were plenty of unique cars and trucks, food, vendors, a raffle, T-shirts, music, family photos, and trick-or-treating for the kids.

I first visited the East Valley Cruisers Cruise-In just two weeks ago. It was only their second weekend of the season, and the previous Friday was drenched in rain, so that was a no-go for me. However, my first experience with their club on October 11th proved worthwhile, even though the temperatures were still over a hundred degrees. I was told the cars and crowds would grow as the season cooled, so I remained optimistic. Today, my optimism paid off.

On October 25th, we celebrate National Fine Art Appreciation Day. This day honors art’s incredible beauty and diversity, from ancient cave paintings to striking modern works. It is a beautiful opportunity to reflect on art’s profound impact on our lives and encourages us to explore and appreciate new and exciting artwork from various cultures and periods. Whether you are a passionate lover of painting, an admirer of sculptural masterpieces, or find joy in photography, there are countless ways to actively engage with and appreciate art.

Today marks 28 years since the launch of ADCook.com, a milestone that not only celebrates the rich tapestry of creativity but also highlights the ongoing journey of exploring and sharing observations and stories that encompass art, love, and transformative exchanges of creative energy.

Yesterday’s Spooktacular 9th Annual Car Show, hosted by the Desert Corvette Association, showcased an impressive collection of classic vehicles, hot rods, and a variety of Corvettes in its highly regarded judged car show, which has become a much-anticipated event in the automotive community.

Classic cars and hot rods made for an exciting show at Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona. This was my first visit to this venue and my first car show experience on the west side of the Phoenix Valley.

I’ve been looking forward to catching the East Valley Cruisers Car Club‘s weekly car show. Having visited a couple of local car shows recently, I get asked a lot if I’ve checked out the gathering in East Mesa, Arizona. A collection of vehicles from club members around the East Valley gathers on Friday afternoons from October to May from 2 PM to 6 PM at the old Bashas location at Signal Butte and Main Street in Mesa. Last week marked their first event of the season.

Last weekend, I attended a fantastic car show in Apache Junction (my second for the season) at the VFW Post 9399. I shared with the local car crowd that I was taking pictures for a blog post I shared earlier this week. During my few hours at the VFW’s 1st Annual Car & Motorcycle Show, I was asked several times if I was planning to visit the upcoming 1st Annual Superstition Classics in Gold Canyon.

Clear skies and warm weather prevailed as the VFW Post 9399 hosted its 1st Annual Car and Motorcycle Show this past Saturday, and the quantity and quality of eye candy was impressive. Arizona’s beautiful southwest has no shortage of classic and contemporary cars to complement its stunning mountains and winding highways, making it a perfect backdrop for such an event.
