In the Spring of 2005, I was delighted to be contacted by the visionary creators of Model Mayhem. This innovative platform showcases stunning figurative art, captivating photography, and diverse model portfolios. Model Mayhem is an essential platform that fosters connections and collaborations among individuals in the creative industries. From the moment I learned about this newly minted website, I was immediately intrigued by its potential and eagerly accepted its generous offer to join. With great enthusiasm, I launched my own artistic presence, and twenty years ago, my profile went live as member #531, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey filled with inspiration and artistic growth.
Model Mayhem is a prominent online social networking site for fashion industry professionals, including models, photographers, makeup artists, stylists, and designers. It operates as a portfolio-building platform for finding jobs, networking, and collaborating on projects, often utilized for both paid work and "TFP" (Time for Prints) sessions.
Model Mayhem is widely recognized as a premier site for dipping your toes into the vast and dynamic industry of modeling and creative arts. Today, there are about a million active members on MM, ranging from aspiring models to seasoned professionals, all sharing their work and experiences.
Overall, my experience at MM has been nothing short of great and enriching. In the years that followed, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with several talented models to create my paintings, which can be viewed and appreciated here. Each collaboration brought a unique perspective and energy to my work, greatly enriching the artistic process and yielding beautiful creations that reflect our combined efforts.
