Corvette Paintings In Process
If you’ve been following my posts for a while, you probably already know that I’ve been buried in the studio working on my two Corvette paintings for the upcoming LUSTER Exhibition at the National Corvette Museum.
MOMENTUM – 48″ x 120″ all wrapped for body paint
Everything was covered in paper and masking tape over the last several studio sessions except for the large white car body areas. At this point, most everything is already painted so the masking process is protecting countless hours at the easel.
Finally, this morning, I unwrapped my two canvases to reveal the paintings for the first time in their full glory. And while they may appear finished at glance, there are a areas that need attention still. For me this is the most fun part. This is where all the pieces come together.
MOMENTUM, art in process – Feb 6, 2024.
At this stage, there are still a lot of areas to finish – a line here, a dash there, a burst of airbrush, all small details that will make it sizzle more. I’m too excited to even sleep, so that’s it for now. It’s back to the studio for another session.
Stay tuned for updates. Keep up on these paintings via the CORVETTE ART TIMELINE on this website.
