Patriotism and desert skies shone bright for the American Legion Apache Post 27 Car, Truck & Bike Trophy Show.
American Legion Apache Post 27 at 1018 S. Meridian Road, Apache Junction, Arizona 85120, hosted its Annual Car, Truck & Bike Trophy Show on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public event featured food (hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats), vendors, a bake sale, and raffles.
Several dozen beautiful rides were on display, including classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, street rods, sports cars, cool trucks, custom motorcycles of every variety, and even a cool Freightliner semi.
Today’s car show was my second for the weekend, following yesterday’s Heritage Academy Car Show and Concert in Mesa. If you visited any of my previous car show posts, you may recognize a few of today’s cars, which pop up from time to time at local car shows. Since this show is regionally close to the East Valley Cruisers‘ weekly Friday events, a few were spotted here.
Beyond the amazing local collection of classics and customs, there were a few amazingly unique rides as well, like the super-sized and mega-chromed TRIP-DUB Racing Freightliner and the 1986 Pulse Air Force None plane-inspired 2-seater.
Also present was a great selection of custom motorcycles displayed along the east side of the lot, positioned perfectly for some great bike/airplane shots featuring the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star jet trainer dedicated to the members of Apache Post 27 for their service to their country in peace and war. Acquired from the U.S. Air Force in the late 1960s, this aircraft is mounted on a pedestal as a memorial dedicated to local veterans and was recently refurbished a few months ago. I have been hoping for a reason to share this plane and its story for some time, and today offered a perfect opportunity to see it up close and thank our veterans for their service.
This show featured a display of a 2025 Polaris side-by-side to promote an upcoming drawing scheduled for April 11, in support of COTA [Children’s Organ Transplant Association] in helping remove financial barriers to life-saving transplants for children in Arizona.
COTA is the premier organization providing fundraising assistance to transplant families … for a lifetime. Because we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, funds raised are not considered income for families. Since 1986, COTA has assisted children and young adults in need of a life-saving organ, bone marrow, or stem cell transplant. We also work with individuals of any age with single-gene disorders, such as Polycystic Kidney Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, or Sickle Cell Disease. Click here to get your tickets for the Polaris raffle.

Toast to Our Military
To Those Who Went
To Those Who Are There Still
To Those Who Have Returned
To Those Who Never Will
Honor Our Military
Let’s honor our military,
The men and women who serve,
Whose dedication to our country
Does not falter, halt or swerve. Let’s respect them for their courage;
They’re ready to do what’s right
To keep America safe,
So we can sleep better at night. Let’s support and defend our soldiers,
Whose hardships are brutal and cruel,
Whose discipline we can’t imagine,
Who follow each order and rule. Here’s to those who choose to be warriors
And their helpers good and true;
They’re fighting for American values;
They’re fighting for me and you.
