Fresh Press Burger Saturday Cruise-In

Apache Junction, AZ • 2/7/26

Car shows abound in the Phoenix/Mesa Valley. From classic hot rods to modern muscle cars, sports cars, custom trucks, and rat rods, the variety is a feast for the eyes and a thrill for automotive enthusiasts.

Most car shows here are morning events, but there is no shortage of afternoon and evening events. With yesterday’s afternoon temps hovering around 80 degrees (+/-), car show guys could hardly resist seeing their chrome colors change as time slowly passed with kindred souls.

That was the case yesterday as we were heading home from lunch after the VETERANS AFFINITY SHOW & SHINE in Mesa. (Click here to catch the story and dozens of pics).

By chance, we drove by a lot, and I couldn’t help but notice a few sweet-looking rides — some I recognized from other shows, and a few new ones to season the early evening. As the sun began to slowly set, the atmosphere transformed, creating a perfect backdrop for the vibrant colors of the cars. As a photographer, I find this lighting perfect for car shots.

The gleam of chrome and the sound of engines revving are like music in the air, drawing a nice crowd to any show.

I would come to find out that the FRESH PRESS BURGER CRUISE-IN is a weekly happening in the Northwest corner of the lot just outside Press Press Burger at 189 W Apache Trail, Suite 102, Apache Junction, AZ 85120 [ click for map ] every Saturday from 3-7 PM. Dozens of car lovers gather each week to showcase their prized possessions and share stories of passion and craftsmanship.

So, if you find yourself in the area on a Saturday, don’t miss this weekly celebration of all things automotive. I’m already looking forward to the next one.
