Fundraiser Car Show for Shawn Wilken

Today’s car show was a wonderful blend of camaraderie and hope, an uplifting event that united an incredible community. The happiness stemmed from the abundant love that friends, family, and devoted fans shared as they rallied around Phoenix artist Shawn Wilken during this pivotal time in his journey.

The poignant aspect lies in Shawn’s health. Admittedly, I hadn’t seen Shawn in too long, leaving me unaware of the challenges he faced. Little did I know, his brave fight against leukemia had taken a significant turn. It served as a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and how quickly life can redirect our paths.

To raise awareness and provide support, his family and friends organized an inspiring Community Car Show Fundraiser on Sunday, May 17 at 8:00 AM at Connolly’s Sports Grill in Phoenix, AZ, as our community stood united in support of Shawn Wilken in his courageous battle against leukemia.

The event showcased an array of remarkable vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, hot rods, rat rods, UTVs, side by sides, and exotics.

This was truly more than just a car meet; it became a moment of community empowerment with donations, a silent auction, breakfast, and custom orders for fundraising. All proceeds directly contribute to uplifting the Wilken family.

Stand With Artist Shawn Wilken in His Fight Against AML

Our dear friend Shawn Wilken has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and our hearts are heavy as he begins this unexpected and difficult journey.
 
Shawn is so much more than his diagnosis. He is a devoted husband, a loving father, and a loyal friend to so many. For decades, he has poured his heart and soul into his work as an artist, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he meets. Since 1989, Shawn has created hundreds of one-of-a-kind pieces—on flesh and steel—through tattoos, murals, fine art, airbrushing, and custom paint. His talent is undeniable, but it’s his generosity, passion, and authenticity that truly define him.
 
Now, Shawn needs us.
 
As he begins treatment, he will face not only the physical battle ahead, but also the financial strain that comes with it—medical bills, time away from work, and the ongoing costs of supporting his family. Our goal is to lift that burden so Shawn can focus fully on what matters most: healing and being there for his family.
