Ever had one of those dreams as a kid to one day have your art featured on an album cover? I did. It was one of those things that I thought might be cool one day.

Realistic Life-Size Art Nudes on Canvas in the Historic Las Vegas Arts District — I‘m excited to show my realistic life-size art nudes on canvas at the all-new Conrad West Gallery in the Historic 18b Arts District in Las Vegas.

Honored to share that A.D. Cook is a featured artist on ModelSociety.com. Honored because the level of creative artists, models, and photographers on this website is impressive. I’ve shared a collection of my figurative art nudes on the ModelSociety website for a few years, so I’ve had the pleasure of watching the site grow and mature.

I love timelines. When it comes to telling a story with pictures, I can think of no better way to show the progression of something. This website’s Art Creation Timeline maps A.D. Cook’s artworks, murals, and paintings from 1988 to now. I want to suggest that it is a complete listing, but it’s only a sampling of my favorite pieces.

A while back – September 2012 specifically – I was interviewed by ModelsMania magazine for a feature article. I know I made mention of it then, but I only recently reached out and asked if I could share it with my readers here. They were very gracious in sharing and said “yes”, so read on for the complete story from 2012 – better late than never, eh? Enjoy.

Shades of Gray… you want 50 to inspire passion? Forget about it. I got 256.

If there ever was a time when life took a big turn, this year was that for me. I would have to say that 2013 will always be remembered as a year of change for me. Some things for the better, others not so much. But that’s the same for all of us, I suppose. As my friend Frank likes to remind me, “Life is a never-ending series of temporary events.”

View the painting in process. Just finished today, November 30, 2012. Special thanks to Tim Catching.

Just wrapping up Nirvana. She’s signed and ready to hang. I’ll look forward to an unveiling soon. Meanwhile, watch my site for the video and Blog post. Cheers!

I am enjoying some quality time with my newest painting – Nirvana. It’s still days from finished. Everything is down to details now.

Sometimes “at large” isn’t the best place to be. I get so much pleasure from my time at the easel that there are days I don’t even get out of the studio. I am enjoying a fantastic day working on my newest painting, Nirvana.

My Process View my art in the process from my photoshoot with the beautiful Liz Ashley through the creation of the completed painting. Completed on May 20th and signed during the solar eclipse,
